We Network!

Network participants meet a few times annually different regions of the state to share resources, discuss community arts issues, and plan collaborative, capacity building projects. Topics of interest include: affordable live-work space for artists/creative workers, public art programs, cultural planning, cultural assets (local, regional and statewide) surveys, economic impact studies, funding options, the creative economy and cultural tourism. The network also assists in statewide arts advocacy efforts and is working to develop/strengthen partnerships with those involving in planning, tourism, economic and community development, and business sectors.

We Collaborate!

Network participants engage in diverse, cross-sector projects that enrich community life, help create vibrant downtowns, and support local economies of communities throughout New Hampshire. For example, NHCCN created a Creative Economy Toolkit in 2012 that includes a template to integrate the arts into community master plans, resource information and a Powerpoint presentation to help educate those in other sectors about the impact of the creative economy in New Hampshire communities.

Another collaboration was made possible by Network participant Creative Concord. Creative Concord contracted with Minnesota-based Artspace to conduct an incubator space survey. Network participants benefited from a free Artspace led workshop focused on affordable live-work space models for artists and creative workers.

We Provide Educational Workshops!

Creative Communities Network members are available to make presentations and lead workshops on how to advance the Creative Economy in your community. Please contact us to discuss making a presentation to your city or arts council, economic development council, planning board, tourism office, chamber of commerce, civic organization, or any other group interested in learning more about Creative Economy strategies.
